project description:
I began the series, 34-Degrees Latitude (Los Angeles,) by collecting packaging materials, recyclables, and non-recyclables. The collection of detritus from my life had become a visual diary keeping track of my spending. For this series, I visited a recycling center in Santa Monica, where UCLA's recyclables are taken and sorted. I wanted to convey my experience intimately as if I was recording a video voicemail to a friend.

project description:
From September to December of 2018, I collected all the trash from my life. On the last day of the fall quarter at UCLA, as a performance, I organized and weighed my garbage, and ultimately, following UCLA’s waste management guidelines, it was put into appropriate dumpsters. For this project, I worked closely with UCLA’s Sustainability Department.
